'Dyowl'

"Dyowl’s music emerges from the headphones like the mythologised Bucca, a sea spirit that lurks in the imaginal waters of Cornish folklore. First, small ripples, and then giant cascading waves.
The airy, dreamy drift of Dyowl’s sound is the product of life-long best friends Jack Brownridge Kelly & Jack Watson. The former a playwright, the latter A Painter.
Both proud of their Cornish roots, the peninsula of Penwith is a spirit that haunts and inspires their songs, channeling the sorrow of Land’s End and vanished Arthurian kingdoms.
Together as Dyowl (the Cornish word for “devil”, pronounced with a soft D), the duo traded the urgency of punk for slow, sonorous soundscapes that meld the thick, palpable texture of paint with the ethereal planes of poetry, constructing a dolmen of sound that creeps back through time." - Robert Davidson (ur Blind Spot)
